RC Studio is an award-winning, Malaysia Top 10 Wedding Cinematography & Photography studio, based in Penang and working just as often out of Kuala Lumpur — and anywhere else a client needs us. We’re endorsed by Canon, and founder Ronnie Chan is a Canon EOS Mentor who conducts Canon-backed videography and photography workshops — the same expertise behind every shoot. Fifteen-plus years in, we’re still chasing a fresher way to tell a story: cinematic wedding films and photographs that capture how people actually looked and felt on the day, not a staged version of them.

Our Principal Photographer & Cinematographer

Our principal photographer and cinematographer, Ronnie Chan, has developed a distinctive style drawn from a broad range of artistic and photographic experience. He has also lectured on photography at KDU College and is regularly invited to coach and speak at photography association events. Ronnie’s approach is built on a simple belief: there’s no such thing as a perfect photo, only a perfect moment. After months or years of planning, a wedding is over within a day or two — what remains are the photographs, captured with real emotion, joy, and laughter. His storytelling, memory-first approach is designed so couples can relive their wedding day every time they look back at it.
