LEYA Biotechnology marked its 4th anniversary with a full-scale gala at PICCA Convention Centre in Butterworth — part awards night, part charity fundraiser, and entirely built for a highlight reel that could match the scale of the evening.
The night began before guests even reached the ballroom: a photo-op backdrop wall, a wish-card wall, and interactive games in the lobby set the tone early. Inside, a red-carpet runway led to a stage built for spectacle — moving lights, fog effects, and LED screens surrounding a central head table. The formal opening saw company leadership pour sand into illuminated acrylic letters spelling out the company’s name on stage, followed by speeches tracing LEYA’s growth and its community commitments, including a donation through the Leya Education Charity Fund to a local school.
Performances carried the evening’s energy throughout — a samba-inspired dance number, a traditional Chinese drum performance, and a silk-ribbon dance — interspersed with recognition awards for top achievers across the company, presented on stage to applause and confetti.
It’s the kind of event where the story is really about a company celebrating its people, and our coverage was built to capture that atmosphere in full, from the first red-carpet arrival to the closing group photo.
