When Tectra Academy and the Penang Electrical Merchants Association (PEMA) brought together industry professionals for a one-day seminar on medium-voltage technology, they asked us to capture both the technical substance and the networking energy of the event.
Held in a conference ballroom at Eastin Hotel, Penang, the seminar opened with a welcome address from PEMA’s Mr. Neoh Boon Tong, followed by a keynote from Tectra Academy explaining the academy’s non-commercial, education-first mission. Technical sessions covered MV switchgear, green transformers, loss reduction, and sulfur hexafluoride — solid ground for an audience of electrical professionals — while our coverage moved between wide establishing shots of the room and closer tracking shots of each speaker at the podium.
Between sessions, we caught the parts that often get missed: attendees reviewing technical pamphlets, conversations over coffee, and the plaque ceremony recognizing the day’s contributors. The event closed with a full group photo and Tectra’s own chant — “Tectra, never stop learning” — capping off a seminar backed by a company that had recently been recognized with a Golden Bull Award for outstanding SME performance.
For corporate clients running technical events in Penang, this is the kind of coverage that documents both the content and the community around it — useful for internal records and for showing future attendees exactly what the event delivers.
