Syed & Thaz — A Pre-Wedding Story Across Beach, Sky, and Studio

Syed and Thaz wanted their pre-wedding film to reflect both sides of their story, and the shoot moved through enough settings to do exactly that — a tropical coastline, a private helipad, and a lavish indoor stage built for two very different looks.

The day began on the beach, wide-angle drone shots tracing the shoreline, stone jetties, and rolling waves as golden-hour light backlit the coast. From there, an unexpected element joined the shoot: a parked helicopter on a nearby airfield, giving the film a scale few pre-wedding shoots attempt. Indoors, the set shifted entirely — purple floral walls, glowing chandeliers, and Turkish-style mosaic lanterns for a night scene lit by warm fairy lights and soft bokeh.

The outfits told their own story. Syed and Thaz began in traditional South Asian attire — a dark velvet and gold lehenga with intricate henna detailing, gold jewelry placed by family, and a forehead kiss shared under green foliage — before changing into Western wedding wear for a softer, romantic second half: a lace gown with a flower crown, a pink bouquet, and a black suit with silver-trimmed lapels.

Two cultures, three locations, and a genuinely cinematic scale — this is the kind of pre-wedding coverage we love building around a couple’s own story rather than a single template.
