A Quarry, a Cottage Garden, and a Cliffside Sunset — Boon Chong & San San’s Pre-Wedding Story

Some pre-wedding shoots pick one backdrop and stay there. Boon Chong and San San’s took three — and each one changed the whole mood of the film.

We opened on the quarry hilltop overlooking Penang, where the reddish earth and still water below gave us a wide, cinematic canvas for aerial establishing shots. From there the story moved into an English-style homestay garden — a white mini-chapel with its own bell tower, a three-tiered fountain, a vintage car parked in the driveway, even a red British telephone booth tucked by the flowers. It’s the kind of setting that photographs like a page from a storybook, and San San’s flowing white gown against the greenery made the most of it.

The final act took us back up to the quarry cliffs at golden hour, San San now in a dramatic black ballgown, for a slow dance and a kiss right at the edge as the light dropped. We closed the night with a quiet silhouette portrait, backlit and surrounded by drifting bokeh.

Three locations, three moods — playful garden romance, dramatic cliffside elegance, and an intimate close to the evening. This is the kind of coverage we build for couples in Penang who want their pre-wedding film to feel like three love stories in one.
