Chinese wedding all around the word practice wedding custom differently.It have been modified according to different countries, especially the young and modern couples.It is tiring event , most of the time will wear out the bride and grooms. Though, it is very unique and interesting event.

• On the actual wedding day,the bride will wake up early( sometimes as early as 6am) to get ready with her beautiful wedding gown and wait for the groom to fetch her.
• The groom arrival would be accompanied with loud blaring car horns to acknowledge the neighbourhood someone is getting married.Upon the arrival,the bride’s younger brother or cousin ) will open the car door for the groom.
• Younger brides often have a few girlfriends( Che Mui ) at the home who will tease the groom and his groomsmen( Heng Tai ) with some games before handing over the bride. After the games,the girls will barter with the groom who must beg and bribe the girls with small gifts or red envelopes stuffed with money are handed over in exchange for the bride.
• After fetching the bride from the room, they now had to go through the Chinese Tea Ceremony, where they would serve tea to bride’s parents and elder relatives with the sequence following their seniority in the family.
• Before leaving her home, the bride and groom bow before the bride’s parents. Then, they head to the groom’s home. Once at the groom’s home, the bride and groom bow to heaven and earth in front of the groom’s family’s home altar or at a local temple. Then, the couple bows before the groom’s parents before bowing to each other.

• Over at the groom’s family, the same prayers and rituals were repeated. It was then followed by another Tea Ceremony, for the groom’s family and relatives.
• Acceptance of the tea is confirmation that the family has welcomed the bride into the groom’s family.
